Who started the fire?

The crowd felt both sorry and amused.

They never expected Susie to take the "deaths" of the extras so seriously.

The director breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "No, they didn't die! It was all fake. Look, they're all fine now!"

The extras walked out of the set, and Mrs. Alana comforted them, "The hand-to-hand combat with the Japanese soldiers was fake, and so were the gunshots. Everyone is okay."

But Susie still had tears in her eyes and said, "But Niki sister was really burned!"

She was certain about what she saw.

Niki’s sister was indeed burned, and if she hadn't intervened, Niki’s sister would have been injured.

She calculated it horizontally and vertically and made sure that Niki’s sister was going to have an accident. Only because she intervened, Niki’s sister was okay.

No one else saw it. The unlucky ghost came back with a miserable look on his face, muttering, "Give me some reaction time next time before you throw me out!"

"Wow, ghosts are most afraid of fire... If I weren't an evil ghost..."

Susie asked, "Niki sister was really burned, right?" The unlucky ghost nodded and said, "Yes, she was almost burned... Fortunately, I kicked her away in time."

Susie looked at the director and said, "Uncle Director, it's real!" The director was stunned and looked at Niki.

Niki had just walked out of the set with half of her face covered, looking like she had been injured. The director's heart skipped a beat. If something happened to the female lead, it would be a big problem.

He hurried over and asked, "Niki, are you okay?"

Colette also stood up and exclaimed anxiously, "Ah... Niki sister is injured! Oh my God, Niki’s sister was burned by the fire!"

Everyone rushed over in a panic and found that her face was actually smoked, not just makeup.

Everyone was dumbfounded. This was a major mistake. Colette stared at Niki's face, both worried and dissatisfied. How come Niki wasn't disfigured? The fire did hit her just now!

Colette looked at the half of Niki's face that she was covering and thought, maybe Niki was disfigured, and she was afraid to show it to others.

After all, if my face is ruined... tsk, the female lead in this drama will definitely be replaced!

Niki is definitely afraid of being seen, even if she's injured, she wouldn't dare to say that her face is ruined!

The director is asking Niki, "What's going on? Are you injured? Where are you hurt?"

Niki covers her face and refuses to let go, just saying, "It's okay, director, I'm fine, don't worry."

"Just got a little smoke in my eyes, I can still act, I'll just rest for a while later..."

Colette very shrewdly picked up on the loophole in what she said, "Can still act..."

Why would she say she can still act when everything was fine, it must mean her face is ruined.

She pretended to be anxious and worried, "Niki, you must have something wrong, let go of your hand and let us see, is it serious?"

"Just now I saw flames burning on your face, Niki, don't be brave!"

Thinking that if Niki's face is ruined, she won't be able to act as the female lead in the drama, Colette was getting anxious, wishing everyone on set could see Niki's ruined face.

She couldn't help it and reached out to grab Niki's hand, "Let me see, Niki, don't worry, if it's not too serious, early treatment will still be effective..."

The others thought it was a bit strange, how could Colette be so certain that Niki's face was burned?

Didn't Niki just say she only got some smoke in her eyes?

Just then, Niki let go of her hand and showed her other side of the face.

It was intact, just a little blackened by the smoke.

She stared at Colette and asked, "I just got some smoke in my eyes, but everyone is concerned about me. Why are you so sure that my face was burned, Colette?"

Colette's face froze, and she felt hatred in her heart.

Niki actually betrayed her?!

She bit her lip, looking helpless, "Niki, what are you talking about...I just saw you burned by the fire; I was worried about you!"

Niki sneered, "Is that so? You're so worried about me, why didn't you stop me when I was burned by the fire just now? Besides, no one knew I was burned by the fire, how did you know beforehand?"

Colette took a step back, "I... I didn't see it, I just..."

Niki didn't wait for her to finish and kept pressing, "Didn't see it? Your last sentence was 'Just now I saw flames burning on your face', you saw it, but now you're saying you didn't see it?"

Colette opened her mouth, not knowing what to say.

Her eyes quickly turned red, choking as she said, "Niki, what do you mean... are you implying that I did it? I've been sitting here the whole time, it's not me... Niki, you're accusing me wrongly..."

Colette felt wronged and unable to speak, as if Niki was intentionally targeting her.

Niki sneered and didn't press further, only saying lightly, "You know in your heart whether it was you or not."

The open conflict between Colette and Niki had happened more than once, and everyone knew that they didn't get along.

Some suspected Colette, while others suspected Niki was targeting her.

Colette looked at Jonathan, seeking help with her eyes, "Teacher Murray..."

Jonathan hadn't snapped out of his daze, and he glanced down at her, saying calmly, "I believe Niki."

Colette burst into tears.

She looked pitiful on the surface, but her heart was filled with jealousy and twisted emotions. Without evidence, Jonathan actually believed Niki!

The director was at a loss and said, "Stop crying. There are so many cameras on set, and there are also behind-the-scenes footage. Let's check."

Colette seemed unafraid of being checked and didn't say anything.

Soon the results came back. No one on set had captured anything unusual, but one of Colette's fans had taken a photo of her in the rest area, showing that she had been sitting in her spot the whole time.

Niki stared at the photo, asking, "Is that really you?"

The photo taken by the fan was a bit blurry, with Colette's back facing the camera, holding an umbrella, and sitting alone in a corner.

Other than her clothes being the same, it was hard to confirm.

Colette bit her lip and whispered, "Niki, I know you've never liked me, but the evidence is right in front of you...why don't you believe it?"

Niki remained silent, "It's strange to be standing in a corner with an umbrella on a rainy day, that's all."

She knew she had lost this round.

If Colette dared to do this, she must have been fully prepared and had already prepared evidence even when she wasn't present.

The only consolation was that she was okay, but she had now added this grudge to her list.

She was never one to endure anything.

Seeing Colette still crying and pretending to be pitiful, Niki no longer wanted to pretend to be kind to her and was about to speak up.

At this moment, Susie's voice rang out, "Are you guys looking for the person who started the fire? Susie knows!"

Everyone turned to look, only to see Susie leading an actress.

The actress was dressed in drab grey clothes, her hair messy and covering most of her face.

She stood quietly with her hands down, and everyone felt that something was off about her, but they couldn't quite put their finger on it...

Susie said, "This auntie says she saw the auntie with slippers in her throat doing it."

Colette secretly frowned. How did this little thing manage to find this person and accuse her of something? She had never even seen this woman before. How could she have witnessed it?

Colette was very unhappy and felt that Susie, as a child, didn't know anything. But she had brought a woman over to point the finger at her, which must have been taught by an adult behind her back.

Was it Mrs. Alana? Or Jonathan? Did they have their sights on Niki??

Colette was jealous and unhappy!

She opened her mouth and pretended to be sorrowful, "Never mind...Teacher Murray is going to help Niki, right? What am I to you guys...if you say it's me, then it's me...what else can I do..."

Her tone was resentful, and she looked extremely aggrieved and submissive.
