Growing Up
Susie followed her father to buy a bouquet of flowers and some fruit, preparing to visit Megan at the hospital.
Kellen, who usually drove his off-road vehicle arrogantly, became careful with Susie in the car.
However, even so, they still had a collision with someone at the intersection with a loud bang.
Kellen rolled down the car window.
A girl in high heels, riding a shared electric bike, hurriedly got off and kept apologizing, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"
This girl was the one who played on her phone late at night. She was in a hurry to go to work and didn't expect to hit someone else.
Oh no!
This car looked very expensive, costing at least a million bucks. Even if she sold herself, she couldn't afford to compensate for it!
The girl felt as if she had been struck by lightning.
At this moment, the car window behind her rolled down, and a little girl stuck her head out.
"Sister, be careful!" Susie looked at the gloomy atmosphere swirling around the girl and said, "Sister, do you stay up late every day?
Your luck may not be good when you stay up late, so be careful when walking on the road."
The girl's head buzzed, and she instinctively said, "Thank...thank you..."
Susie wanted to say something else, but ultimately just waved her hand and said, "See you next time, bye-bye."
Kellen heard what Susie said, so he drove away. The car was just scratched, and as long as the people were safe, he didn't care much.
Only the girl stood foolishly in place, feeling as if she were dreaming.
Kellen carried Susie to the hospital.
On the 20th floor of the surgical department, there were some people sitting outside in the corridor, scrolling through their phones.
"A little girl scolded a person wearing a kimono... and destroyed someone else's beloved doll in the name of sacrifice..."
Kellen raised an eyebrow slightly. Ah, this was a defamatory video.
He overheard the people watching the video and their family members chatting, "I don't know why everyone online is praising her. I think it's none of her business what others like to wear. She even smashed the doll that the person likes... I don't know why, but I just don't like this child."
Another person also said, "Yes, I wore my favorite clothes on the street before and was pointed and whispered at. I really hate people who use patriotism as an excuse to criticize others."
Kellen frowned.
But Susie hugged his neck and said happily, "Daddy, let's go fast!"
After hearing others' misunderstandings about her again, Susie didn't care at all.
She had already said that liking something wasn't wrong, and it was everyone's freedom to wear whatever clothes they wanted. If those older brothers and sisters wore kimonos on the subway or in a regular park, she wouldn't say anything.
It's just not good to wear such clothes in front of the Town God's Temple and the burial place of ancestors who sacrificed their lives for it. Susie still didn't think she was wrong, and she stood firm in her beliefs.
Secondly...
She smashed those dolls because they were made of bone ash, and if those sisters and aunts brought them back after the sacrifice, the dolls would only backfire and absorb their luck and vitality.
But she didn't smash any other normal dolls...
Susie didn't think she was wrong in this matter either.
She said that they were wrong, not her. Hmph

Kellen looked at Susie's relaxed and still cheerful face and understood sadly that his little baby had grown up.
When she was cyber-bullied before, she was completely lost in the darkness.
Now, when she heard others misunderstand her face to face, she could ignore it completely.
When a person faces some trivial misunderstandings and doesn't bother to explain, it means that their inner strength has truly grown. "Good girl, Daddy is proud of you."
Kellen's broad palm gently patted her back and spoke with certainty, "You're great."
Susie immediately smiled and kissed her father.
Kellen continued, "But sometimes you don't have to care about some people. You may be kind to others, but they may not appreciate it."
He understood why Susie smashed those dolls, but others didn't, and they only felt that she had ruined something they liked. Susie leaned on Kellen's shoulder, her round face plump, and said carefree, "Why do I have to make others appreciate it?"
She would do what she was supposed to do, and whether others appreciate it or not was not her concern.
Kellen was taken aback, but then he laughed softly.
Yes, his little sweetheart could do whatever she wanted without explaining to others. He was actually scolded by the little girl.
In the meantime, the two had already found Megan's ward- number 18. Susie broke free and eagerly said, "Daddy, give me the flowers."
Megan was lying on the bed with her eyes closed when she heard a familiar voice outside the door. "Number 18...18, it's definitely Megan!" Susie's cheerful voice.
Megan frowned and heard Susie push the door open and say, "Hi, Bergan... no, Megan!"
Megan remained silent.
Susie held a large bunch of fairy flowers in front of her and said, "Here, this is for you, Megan."
Megan pretended to be asleep with her eyes closed, not wanting to see this annoying person. But Susie said, "Megan, I know you're awake.
I saw your ears perk up just now! Look, your ears are still moving!" Megan's ears moved involuntarily, which made her very angry.
Why wouldn't her ears listen to her? She opened her eyes and asked Susie, "What are you here for?" Then, Susie suddenly held a beautiful butterfly orchid in front of her and said, "To see you!"
Megan was surprised, as her parents and elder sister didn't even know she liked butterfly orchids.
She turned her head awkwardly, changing direction and continuing to lie down. Susie wanted to put the flowers on the bedside table, but there were several instruments on it.
She also thought about putting the flowers on the ground, but it didn't seem appropriate and was a bit like worshipping ancestors... Susie looked at the bedside table and then at Megan's injured back.
Finally, she directly placed the flowers on her butt. Megan said, "???" and immediately turned her head to stare, "Are you crazy?" Susie blinked innocently and said, "Megan, your bed is full of people, and I have nowhere to put them."
Just now, Susie inexplicably felt that Megan would be really unhappy if she put the flowers elsewhere.
She didn't know why, but she imagined a scene in her mind where she handed the butterfly orchid to Megan, but accidentally dropped a petal, and then Megan pulled out a knife and chased after her without hesitation.
It was too scary... That's why she put the flowers on her butt.
Susie bit her finger and weakly explained, "Look how nice it is, flowers blooming on your butt..." Megan felt like she was going to cry from being so angry, thinking, "You didn't come to see me, you came to annoy me."
